Woodcrest Youth Lead


Work alongside the Woodcrest Youth Minister to create environments, events and experiences that connect students (both inside and outside of the church) to God, each other and to leaders.

  • Execute the Sandals Network vision and strategies for youth ministry.
  • Own the new student experience and follow-up.
  • Create and maintain environments that are welcoming and help students connect.
  • Help students connect to adults and the church-at-large through serving on teams.
  • Plan and execute campus specific youth events.
  • Connect unchurched students in the community to our church and our leaders.
  • Plan how to market and publicize each event to students, parents, and leaders within the Woodcrest community.
  • Plan and execute a relevant and effective social media strategy.
  • Provide coaching for students and leaders of the same gender.
  • Host and speak during the main service as needed.
  • Organize and oversee student discipleship groups each week.
  • Teach at student gatherings mid-week and other events.
  • Regularly connect with the network Youth Director to report the campus’ performance and stay aligned with the vision and strategies that have been created.
  • Build and equip a team of student and adult volunteers to do what you do.



  • Knowledgeable in student ministries and loves teenagers
  • Awesome at relating to others, especially young people and their parents
  • Experienced in recruiting and motivating adults and students to be part of the team
  • A team player who loves to collaborate
  • Willing to take initiative and get things done
  • A naturally charismatic leader
  • Able to teach and communicate in front of both students and adults
  • Relationally wired, but has an operational and administrative mind
  • Detail orientated with the capacity to see the big picture



  • Enjoy being part of a relational youth ministry team
  • Have the ability to inspire people and keep a group motivated
  • Love to schedule, plot, and plan and are known as a master time manager
  • Are able to have a conversation, review a contract, plan an event, write an email, count money, and smile all at the same time
  • Can make us laugh
  • Are a texting machine and daily engage with students on social media
  • Have a calm face that masks a brain working at warp speeds
  • Are highly competitive (and skilled at dodgeball)
